ZERO Packaging! The Wrappers come with zero packaging but I supply a flier to explain what they are! There are also fabulous sandwich recipes on the back of the flier to give you some inspiration!
The liner is a Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) that conforms to EU Regulations 2015/174 in relation to materials in contact with food. LDPE is widely recycled. The outside is poly cotton.
On a daily basis, just give the inside a wipe down as if it were a plate and reuse again and again. If the outside gets grubby or you get a spill you can either give it a hand wash in the sink before you do the washing up, or it can be washed in the machine at 30 degrees. If machine washing - put the velcro over onto itself or put in a laundry bag so that it doesn’t catch socks! Word of warning….don't use a heavily scented fabric conditioner….one lady commented that her tuna sandwiches tasted of lavender ….a bit too Heston Blumenthal for her liking! I recommend that for dark colours you do the first wash in the sink in case there are any residual dye on the fabric.
The sewing is done by the inmates at Kilmarnock Prison. They learn a skill, gain a qualification and get paid for their work - whilst I get them Made in Scotland 30 minutes from home.
